What are Access Tokens on Nexudus Spaces?

Access Tokens allow you to give coworkers or space guests a block of minutes that they can use to connect to the internet. Access Tokens are directly linked to Check-In via Wi-Fi, so that when someone is connected via the captive portal, they can use the token to access the internet. Access tokens simply provide internet access for a certain time period.

How do I add an Access Token?

Adding an Access Token is simple. Go to Space > Access Tokens via the dashboard and click on the Add Access Token button.

On the next screen, select the amount of time that the access token will be available for from the drop-down menu in the Minutes Included field. A token number is automatically generated. You can also include a description. Then, click on the Save button to finish the process.

You can also define when the token can be used and if it can be used by more then one device at the same time.

Leaving blank these fields will mean the token is always valid, until depleted and can only be sed by one device.

You'll then see that the tokens appear on the general access token list.

Can I add several access tokens at the same time?

Yes you can! You can add as many access tokens in bulk as you want. This could be useful when you hold an event at your space and want to offer the participants access to the internet. Go to the list via Space > Access Tokens and select the Create tokens in bulk from the More Actions... drop-down menu and click on Run.

On the next screen, enter the number of tokens that you want to create in bulk and the number of minutes that you're going to assign them. Lastly, click on the Create Tokens in Bulk button to complete the process.

You'll then see that the tokens appear on the general access token list.

Exporting a list of Access Tokens

Once you've added the tokens, you will no doubt want to export them so that you can use them or print them, for example. To export the list, you just have to go to Space > Access Tokens and click on the Export button at the bottom of the screen. This will generate an editable CSV file.

Deleting an Access Token

You can delete one or several access tokens by clicking on the Delete this record icon or by selecting Delete from the More Actions... drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen

Booking-based Access Tokens

You can also automatically create Access Tokens when a booking is place in the calendar. The token can then be inserted in the booking confirmation email using the {accesscode} token. You can enable this option from Space Setting > Bookings:
